Spazji Miftuħa (“Open Spaces”) is a coalition of NGOs and local groups dedicated to the preservation of public spaces in Malta. We tackle issues related to open access, conservation of ecological features, management and transparency.
Spazji Miftuħa was formed in April 2020 in response to a proposal by government to restrict access to the two woodland areas of L-Aħrax and il-Miżieb to a private lobby. As a coalition of NGOs, we invite all those interested in preserving open access to register with us as a partner. We will keep you abreast of any initiatives we will be undertaking as part of our campaign.
Also, we’d like you to sign our petition and take a brief survey about access to public spaces in Malta and Gozo.
